RAHITI
Hālau Hula O Keliʻikoanuiokeao

We continue to respect our received traditions through teaching, educating and instilling the beauty of the Polynesian Culture.
RAHITI is a vibrant cultural collective that celebrates and shares the rich traditions of Polynesia through dance and music. Our performances highlight the beautiful songs, fast-paced and rhythmic drum beats of Tahiti, alongside the graceful hula dances of Hawai'i, the strength and elegance of Samoa, and the skillful precision of the Maori people from Aotearoa (New Zealand).
We are also known as Hālau Hula O Keli’ikoanuiokeao in South San Francisco, California, and Hālau Hula O Ke Ao ʻUla Nōweo A Ka Pu’ukū in Ewa Beach, Hawai'i. These names reflect our deep connection to the cultural roots and traditions of the Pacific Islands, and we are proud to share the aloha and beauty of Polynesian dance with audiences worldwide.

RAHITI is a renowned Polynesian dance group based in the Bay Area and Hawai’i, celebrated for its commitment to preserving and sharing the rich traditions of Polynesian culture. On October 1, 2023, the group marked a significant milestone when its directors, Remie Aranda and Jaemie Aranda Cadiente, were honored with the prestigious title of "Kumu Hula" following their "Uniki" ceremony in 2022. This ceremony took place in Ewa Beach, Hawai’i, and is a sacred event that signifies the formal recognition of a teacher's mastery in hula, a vital cultural art form. The title "Kumu Hula" acknowledges their deep knowledge, skill, and dedication to the hula tradition.
